About — Concept & Direction
Weird Little Universe.
MINT IS LIVE — 0x2aE2969ae37CB39abc45375598cEE530C181838A
OOBIX is a cartoon that never aired. It is a collection of 3,333 alien pets drawn the way Saturday morning cartoons used to be drawn: bold black outlines, flat bright colors, simple cel shading, and faces that cannot hide what they feel.
Every alien is a different species. Not a different hat on the same body — a different body, a different number of eyes, a different way of standing, floating, or wobbling around. Some are round blobs. Some are tall and thin with eyes on stalks. Some are spiky. Some have four legs and no idea what to do with them. That is the whole joke, and the whole point: a universe full of weird little creatures, each one sure it is completely normal.
The palette is the universe itself: blue, purple, pink, yellow, green, orange, teal and cream, on flat cartoon skies. Nothing is 3D. Nothing is glossy. If it looks like it could be a sticker on a lunchbox, it belongs here.
The Eight Species
Round Blob
A big round body, tiny arms, maximum friendliness.
Tall Thin
Long body, long legs, eyes on stalks, always surprised.
Long Neck
A small head at the end of a very long neck. Sees everything first.
Spiky
Covered in spikes, soft on the inside. Probably.
Quadruped
Four legs, a low body, and a face that means business.
Floating Jelly
No legs at all. Floats. Wobbles. Judges silently.
Wide Flat
Very wide, very flat, very hard to ignore.
One-Eye Orb
One huge eye, one huge opinion.
Rarity — the Gacha Deck
Rarity is not decided by a random draw at mint time. The whole deck of 3,333 slots is shuffled once, before minting opens, and its hash is committed on-chain. Mint #n opens deck slot #n, so the rarity of every token is fixed from the start — and anyone can check the deck hash against the contract.
| Rarity | Count |
|---|---|
| Common | 2,000 |
| Uncommon | 800 |
| Rare | 333 |
| Epic | 150 |
| Legendary | 50 |
